We are currently developing a transplantable liver and kidney as our lead products, with plans to expand into other organs as part of our business model.  Our progress to date was recently recognized as a KidneyX prize winner for redesigning dialysis and as a 2019 Buzz of BIO for Pipelines of Promise. We continue to build our organization and scientific teams.  Miromatrix has an immediate opening for a highly motivated individual interested in working with our Cell Isolation Director to lead our Cell Manufacturing efforts in a fast-paced, team and results-oriented work environment. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of success leading teams responsible for primary human cell isolation, scale-up of cell manufacturing, and/or implementation of cGMP in the medical device or biologics space.
Position Description:
Performs, and sometimes, leads, tissue/sample production according to established plans and maintains records in compliance with Miromatrix policy and GMP.  Performs testing and quality control of cell or tissue samples.  Works directly with supervisor (Director of Organ Procurement and Cell Isolations) and other team members during production and independently for most testing and quality control once fully trained. 
Responsibilities:
·       Primary human cell isolation
·       Primary human (adherent) cell culture
·       Performs functional and metabolic assays
·       Quality control of cell or tissue samples
·       Data analysis and presentation
·       Properly document all activities and maintain records in compliance with Miromatrix policies and GMP
Requirements and Qualifications:
·       BS degree in one of the Life Sciences disciplines including Biology, Cell Biology, or Microbiology
·       Experience with adherent mammalian cell culture and/or cell isolation techniques
·       Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
·       Self-starter, reliable, attention to detail, ability to work independently
·       Enthusiasm for a collaborative work culture and desire to make a positive impact
·       Ability to work overtime and/or off-hours on a regular basis
