Morning Show Producer
KOTA and KEVN are looking for a Producer ready for the challenge of leading our top rated newscasts in the market. Candidate must be able to write utilizing broadcast style with an emphasis on compelling storytelling. This is a great opportunity for a producer ready to take on the responsibility of coordinating the day's best stories for the markets most watched newscast. We're looking for someone who has a competitive fire who wants to get the best video, the best interviews, the best stories in their newscast every night and can follow and engage with social media to never miss an important issue or event.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
» Produce and write content for early evening and late evening newscasts
» Shoot, write and edit local stories
» Use editorial judgement to determine content of local newscasts
» Use social media to engage with community and help generate contacts and story ideas
» Post daily to all digital platforms and social media including attaching images and streaming video
» Interview subjects and research facts for credibility
» Produce and anchor newscasts as assigned
» Collaborate with news managers, producers and reporters for content and newscast development
» Edit video and stories for broadcast
» Must have a good driving record
