Analyst Program
The Lazard Middle Market Investment Banking Analyst program is an intensive three-year training program after which many participants move on to graduate school or pursue other career opportunities. In the case of demonstrated exceptional performance and potential, analysts may be considered for promotion to Associate.

The Investment Banking Analyst serves as a key member of the deal team, typically working with a Managing Director, a middle level investment banker and an Associate. The analyst will be given significant responsibility and will receive client exposure, deal experience, and an understanding of transaction structures. In most M&A assignments, the analyst assists in the following:
  • Preparation of new business presentations
  • Business research
  • Valuation analysis
  • Improving the quality and timeliness of all client-related work
  • Preparation of Confidential Offering Memoranda
  • Spreadsheet, business plan, budget and forecast preparation and analysis
