A terrific opportunity for the right individual to join our team. The candidate will work with all technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance. You will work closely with entire complement of partners, managers and other staff members in providing the highest quality consulting and compliance services for a sophisticated client base. Our practice focuses on entrepreneurial and high net worth clients.

Our goal is to provide our interns with an opportunity to learn hands on about the tax preparation process and be exposed to complex client work. We believe our internship program is great way for aspiring CPAs to gain valuable insight into a career with a tax, audit, and advisory firm.
Responsibilities of the internship will include:

  • Professional Development – Training will be held during the first week of your internship. This training will introduce you to the essential skills and procedures necessary to deliver quality client-service on tax returns. This will also give you a look into the firm’s culture at Lindsay & Brownell.
  • Client Service – We believe the best form of learning is through on-the-job experience. After training, you will be assigned to various individual tax returns and tax projects throughout the remainder of the internship.
  • Career Development – Interns will receive the opportunity to sit down with seniors, managers and partners to discuss goals and performance feedback to enhance career development.
  • Networking – Social activities are planned throughout the internship program, allowing you the opportunity to bond with other interns and meet other Lindsay & Brownell professionals in a fun and relaxing environment.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Commit to working 20 hours per week during the months of February through April.
  • Commit to working 40 hours per week during spring break.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter and successful in a team-oriented setting.
  • Be able to quickly process information and master complex concepts.
  • Possess a solid understanding of accounting theory, tax and accounting practices.
  • Have exceptional organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Be able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including ability to simplify and communicate complex business information.
  • Demonstrate integrity within a professional environment.
