Senior Associate Researcher, Division of Liver Disease (Dr. Cai Lab)

We are seeking a highly motivated senior associate researcher/lab manager to join our team. Current research in our lab focuses on the molecular pathogenesis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Research projects may involve, but are not limited to: 1) the role of specialized pro-resolving/pro-inflammatory mediators in NASH and NASH-related hepatocellular carcinoma; 2) the crosstalk among different cell types in the liver; and 3) NASH-related cardiometabolic diseases including atherosclerosis. The candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team of basic biologists, physician-scientists, computational biologists, and clinicians at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai in the Division of Liver Diseases. Roles & Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct a variety of research experiments using advanced research techniques
  • Coordinate project activities to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator in the development of new experiments and research techniques
  • Assist in the implementation of standardized protocols for experiments and training purposes
  • Assist the Principal Investigator with publications by extracting and compiling data; reviewing and editing articles for publication
 
 
Requirements: 
  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree and have at least one year of research experience in the lab
  • 5 years’ experience in a research environment preferred
  • Have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
