.NET Software Developer

This position is for a software developer in .NET and C# who would be working to implement ABBYY FlexiCapture (document capture) and Automation Anywhere (RPA) as well as integrate them with back end systems. A typical FlexiCapture system includes configuring data extraction templates, either fixed form or semi-structured “Flexilayouts.” Automation Anywhere systems consist of software robot applications which interface with a company's back-end system in order to perform redundant tasks in order to reduce labor expenses.

This virtual, work at home position will include responsibility for writing software and implementing our solutions. From time to time some travel is required for customers seeking onsite development due to security and firewall restrictions, or in complex implementations requiring multiple weeks of training. The employee will need to provide a quiet work at home office with a very reliable Internet connection. All other required equipment will be provided.

Required Minimum Skills:
  • 2 Years’ experience with document capture software such as FlexiCapture, Kofax, Hyland OnBase, etc.
  • 2 Years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server performing DBA functions
  • 3 Years’ experience writing code in VB.NET or C#
  • 3 Years’ experience working with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows
  • Strong familiarity with document imaging and content management terminology

Job Responsibilities:

Primary:
  • Write code in VB.NET and C# as required for connectors between customer systems and various ABBYY software products. Also, support some legacy VB6 application and rewrite them in VB.NET or C#.
  • Planning, designing, development, testing, installation of the ABBYY FlexiCapture application.
  • Planning, designing, development, testing, installation of the Automation Anywhere application.
  • Installation and configuration of other ABBYY products including FineReader Server.
  • Study of customer’s business practices to ascertain system requirements and develop technical architecture specifications.
  • Perform DBA tasks in Microsoft SQL Server as required for installation and maintenance of our software solutions. This may include backup, recovery, and stored procedures.
  • Perform limited product management functions (open issues and schedules, AGILE/SCRUM), manage and develop implementation timeframes and work with the customer’s IT managers in this regard. Answer customer’s questions, debug software and use a CRM system.

Secondary:
  • Answering calls, emails, and responding to new cases opened by customers in the CRM system as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Working with our software vendors for issue resolutions. Tracking them in the CRM system. Resolving to as much of your ability, trouble cases without additional assistance. Keeping customers up to date on their issues, posting regular updates to the issues.
