Logistics Account Representative

Job Summary: The Account Executive is responsible for on-boarding new customers, growing existing business and managing all operational issues related to an account.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and complete competitive bid packages, RFP’s, and other reports relating to current and future customers of CRST with strong influence on competitive pricing and margin requirements.
  • Prospect for leads to build a pipeline, including heavy cold-calling. 
  • Manage accounts to retain excisting relationships.
  • Develop relationships and grow revenues and margins with existing and new CRST customers.
  • Settle disputes regarding customer and carrier pay issues.
  • Communicate daily with all customers and Logistics personnel concerning daily operations, billing, claims and all other project issues.
  • Serve as primary negotiator/decision maker for CRST Logistics in regards to freight capacity commitments.
  • Work in concert with Outside Sales to on board new business and grow existing business.
  • Employee required to be available and execute issue resolution 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
  • Conflict management by resolving customer and/or carrier service and pricing discrepancies.
  • Prospect new customers = negotiating spot market rates and developing them into long term customers.
  • Understand customers shipping needs, quoting and negotiating rates with both the customer and carriers in order to find most efficient and profitable shipping option, order tracking and on-time delivery confirmation.
