*1.0 FTE is Full-Time any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time*
 
*Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .8 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .799 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical dental and vision benefits*
 
Shift: Shift 1
 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5 pm Occasional late shift until 8 pm

 
Summary:Summary:
A Medical Assistant (MA) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. This individual is responsible for pre-visit planning standard rooming responsibilities assisting with procedures discharge instructions and other duties as assigned. The MA/LPN is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA/LPN may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations. Other duties as assigned based on their licensure. 
 
Qualifications:
• One to two years of clinical experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.


FOR MA:
• Individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations of education and experience:

o A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate Diploma or Certificate) or
o A graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate diploma or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. In addition to education three (3) years of formal on the job Medical Assistant experience required or
o Currently posses and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials
 • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from AAMA
 • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from AMT
 • Assessment -Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
• Certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred.


FOR LPN:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing is required.
• Current LPN licensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.
