Natural Resource Field Seasonal

Gain real life experience in the natural resources field by working alongside our skilled Ecologists! Spend the summer working outside with a team in a pristine natural resources environment while expanding your knowledge in areas such as native plants, herbicide use, and ecological restoration work such as brush clearing and weed control activities. Work schedule is typically a 40-hour week Monday-Friday. 

What are we looking for? An applicant with some background in ecological restoration experience preferred. Additionally, in the process of obtaining a college degree with at least one-year course work in the field of biology, environmental science, or natural resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Doing is learning. If you do not already have knowledge in the use of power tools, you must be willing to learn and use the tools and equipment. Additionally, you will expand your knowledge in herbicide use by obtaining a State of Illinois herbicide operator’s license upon starting work.

For your safety and those around you, we require applicants to have a current, valid driver’s license and complete a pre-employment drug screening due to driving being essential to the job as well as be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs. Additionally, you must be at least 18 years of age at the time of your start date.
