State and Local Tax Accounting Specialist - Greenville, SC - 2021
Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
- Develop state and local tax (“SALT”) technical knowledge, collaborating with client teams to assist with client SALT issues
- Assistance with preparation of engagement deliverables (such as SALT research, analysis conclusions, memoranda, working papers, etc.)
- Working within communicated budgets
- Develop proficiency in usage of tax research software and other technology, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Develop and understand the client’s organization and procedures
- Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of CBIZ staff to better support client relationships
- Consistently meet charge hour goals
- Listen and communicate effectively with CBIZ teams and clients
- Foster a team environment; demonstrate support of management decisions and build a positive culture
- Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred
- Internship experience in accounting or related field preferred
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results driven team oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
