Distribution & Marketing Internship - Summer 2021

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are offering the unique opportunity to complete an intern program within our US Distribution & Marketing Teams. Our fast paced, hands on internship program will provide first-hand experience in the investment world. 

Projects include:
  • Client Service: Support for cross-sell plans for top clients (researching public data)
  • Institutional Sales: Support for direct client opportunities (researching public data)
  • Advisor Solutions: Data cleansing, assistance in developing focus lists for internal sales associates, vendor overlap analysis
  • Product: Tableau holdings (data intelligence), dashboard for PMs, sub-advisory fee research, product research
  • Marketing: Client Journey Mapping in conjunction with Digital Working Group, analysis (and reporting/visualization) of marketing campaign data, structure mapping around databases
Be ready to roll up your sleeves among industry leading sales and marketing professionals while gaining insight into sales and client relationship management, and to William Blair’s corporate culture.

The internships will be based in Chicago and lasts approximately 6 weeks. The start date will be early June 2021.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, rising juniors preferred.
  • Ability to work full-time for 6 weeks during the summer.
  • Academic excellence (GPA of 3.5 or higher) and community involvement.
  • General understanding of accounting and finance required.
  • Passion for the financial services industry and sales and marketing.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Adaptability to manage through change, with a high-degree of emotional maturity.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.
