Staff Accountant
Seneca Foods Corporation’s packaging and international distribution center located in Glencoe, MN is currently seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our team.
The Staff Accountant works under the supervision of the Plant Controller.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to, maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers; assist in preparation and analyzing budgets, monthly and year end closing, and perform general bookkeeping. Responsibilities:
- Maintaining financial reports, records & general ledgers
- Assist in preparation and analyzing budgets
- Prepare and complete monthly and year end closing
- Perform general bookkeeping & various monthly reporting
- Account Reconciliations
- Provide support to Controller
- Oversee inventory system and the accounting for materials and supplies
- Update and assist with SAVES program project reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
- Previous accounting experience is beneficial
- Must have good attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, MS Word, Excel and E-mail
