Intern - Business Strategy
Alliant Energy is currently recruiting for exciting virtual internship opportunities for summer 2021!
- Pay: Competitive wage earning between $17.00-$21.50/hour, dependent on the year of schooling completed
- Hours: 8 am – 5 pm CST, unless otherwise specified by manager
- Location: This position will be virtual. (Our offices are based in Madison, WI and Cedar Rapids, IA)
- Start Date: Monday, May 10th or Tuesday, May 24th

* Travero, formerly known as Alliant Energy Transportation, is the innovative logistics solutions company that is wholly-owned by Alliant Energy. Our services include freight brokerage, rail freight services, barge terminal and warehousing. This internship will support Travero's aggressive business growth and strategic development. This internship will be conducted virtually. Your day to day impact may have you do the following:
- Contribute to market research and analysis for future partnerships and acquisitions
- Support teams in preparing to launch new services
- Present your findings to a variety of teams and leadership
- Learning Alliant Energy and Travero best practices, as well as analyzing historic data
* Education:
- Students pursuing a degree in business or a related field, with coursework and career aspirations in strategy, product development, marketing, or technology
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Junior or senior students, or graduate students, looking to transition into full-time role after graduation
- Previous internship or leadership experience
- Strong research and data analytic skills
- Innovative mindset
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Capable of asking questions and interacting with the team to enhance the experience
- A strong desire and enthusiasm to learn
- Ability to work effectively both in a diverse team and independently
