Finance Intern
Position Purpose
As a member of the SunStream Finance team, you will have the opportunity to obtain real life experience in accounting and finance. Throughout the internship, you will participate in the annual budgeting and pricing process, assist with monthly financial reporting and customer billing, and play an integral role in documenting finance and accounting processes. The position will commence at the beginning of June, with flexibility in the start and finish dates. There is a possibility for extension and development into a 2021 year-round internship. You would be expected to work 15-20 hours per week during the school year and required to work 40 hours per week during the months of June through August, with flexibility throughout the duration of the internship. Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate should be a sophomore or junior in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Position requires strong detail orientation and proficient skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
- Must have a proactive approach and self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics
- Ability to work independently with a sense of purpose, decisiveness and urgency
- Demonstrated ability/aptitude to anticipate problems and suggest creative solutions
- Ability to be creative and flexible due to changing priorities
- Flexibility, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects
- Ability to think critically through challenges and opportunities
- A sense of humor and a desire to learn
- Demonstrated analytical, technical, communication, & leadership skills
- Expected to represent and abide by SunStream values and policies in all interactions
- Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Bank’s systems and data
