National Tax Operations Intern (2021)

The National Tax Operations Intern will join the National Tax Office (NTO) to support BDO’s digital transformation efforts to optimize internal tax processes. NTO Tax Operations encompasses Tax Process, Tax Technology, Tax Education, Tax Integration and Tax Administration. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with the teams mentioned to help drive and enhance firm-wide tax process standardization and effective use of technology tools to support the tax practice.
Essential Duties/Functions : - Supports tax operations digital transformation efforts 
- Drafts content for internal communication purposes related to our tax vision
- Collaborates with the teams in NTO Tax Operations to assist with tax process improvements and training related to tax process and technology best practices.
- Supports the NTO Senior Manager, Operations to maintain and report on the status of multiple transformation projects currently in flight
- Assists with executive-level reporting including identifying topics, gathering project content, reviewing with leadership, and incorporating feedback
- Supports logistics and planning for team working sessions
- Assists with the implementation of a local office Tax Transformation Team across 60+ offices
- Maintains MS Teams sites and SharePoint site to ensure proper documentation
- Others projects and assignments as requested
- Other duties as required
*Qualifications : Education:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Accounting, Business or other relevant field, required

Experience:
- Prior work experience, preferred
- Leadership experienced, preferred

Software:
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Self-managed individual who can complete tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while working independently and within teams
- Experience with common data science programming language, preferred
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI, preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to the production of a high-quality work product
- Creative individual who will bring innovative ideas to the team
