Operations Associate
Zuckerman Investment Group is looking for an Operations Associate to join our team. This position is a unique opportunity to participate in the expansion of an established firm and will offer great growth potential. You will gain exposure to all aspects of a wealth management firm by providing operational support to the relationship management, investment, portfolio management, and compliance teams. The right, motivated candidate will have an interest in learning more about the wealth management industry and the ability to apply their superior problem-solving skills towards building our Operations department.
This position will begin remotely, as our firm is currently an entirely remote workforce due to precautions related to COVID-19.
Responsibilities
- Maintain firm's portfolio, trading, and client reporting systems by adding and updating client information, processing transactions, and reviewing the integrity of data
- Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations using Advent's APX, custodian records, and fund administrator reports
- Execute key operational processes, including client statement processing and performance reporting
- Develop tools and automation to support Lead Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and Senior Management
- Provide support in researching and implementing new financial technology solutions
- Assist in various projects to support the relationship management, investment, portfolio management, and compliance teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum GPA: 3.5
- Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and takes initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using VBA, SQL, or any coding language is a big plus
