Private Equity Business Development Internship
Job Description

Blackmore Partners is searching for driven and ambitious candidates, seeking experience in PE deal origination process and hands-on tasks. We currently have openings in our 6-month full time -training programs. 

Internship Program:

Our Private Equity Business Development internship program will provide you with the opportunity to break into this highly competitive industry starting with the deal origination. It will teach you valuable skills to prepare you for a career in our industry. In addition, our interns participate in a rotational program through all levels of our firm, depending on your ability and experience, giving you relevant tasks or projects to work on while you are also learning the industry terms and how Blackmore process runs as an Independent Sponsor
 
Placed in small teams, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring critical segments of our business, starting with basic deal generation tasks and learning about our model then move to company/industry research and opportunities to join the calls for deal generation and qualification. You will be responsible for executing your tasks while monitoring their impact and developing strategies to improve the quality and results of the teams you are in and the projects you are assigned.
 
Please note we DO NOT teach and do not require financial analysis or modeling skills, but we will test those who have the background and/or experience to be potentially involved in those assignments if available or needed. The interns who have financial training, knowledge and experience relevant to our industry will be potentially moved to be PE Analyst intern after the evaluation review I.E. If you have the relevant experience and/or knowledge, once we have active deals proceed to the preparation stage or later stages, we will involve those who are qualified to be on the projects with our deal managers or partners adding to your experience on PE business development practical work.
 
This is a 6-month UNPAID internship and can be applied for credit if accepted at your university.
 

Responsibilities:
 
  • Conducting extensive industry research and developing reports
  • Utilizing our database management tools and working on CRM process (SalesForce, Hoover)
  • Screening/qualifying executives for BMP process
  • Helping executives develop acquisition targets
  • Managing relationships with PEG’s
  • Conducting extensive research on target companies
  • Assisting in developing/ presenting acquisition proposals
  • Participating in deal sourcing, capital raising process and campaigns

REQUIREMENTS
·    Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Business or relevant field
·    Proven communication skills both verbal and written
·    Team oriented
·    Desire to learn

·    Punctuality / Ability to meet deadlines
·    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
·    Good research skills and ability to perform industry research in a timely manner

·    Financial Modeling skills is a PLUS
·    Must have stable wifi and working webcam.
