Junior Ethanol Broker Opportunity

THE POSITION
The successful candidate will support brokers on the ethanol desk and help expand the desk by identifying prospective clients.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Working with clients, market participants and brokers and executing trades on behalf of clients via phone or computer
  • Working with and supporting brokers with daily activities including preparation of daily market reports
  • Monitoring and analysing market performance and trends and communicating it to customers to disclose relevant market information
  • Identifying potential clients via research and cold-calling
  • Assisting brokers with trade entry

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate for this role will be creative and personable with strong communication skills allowing him/her to build strong business relationships with different types of market participants.

Additional skills and competencies which will be of great benefit for this position:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex market information, trading themes and data in an accurate and professional manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite with a strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Fluent in business English
  • Motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workflow
  • Team player, who works well within a group environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
 
QUALIFICATIONS and experiences
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics or Business, or equivalent work experience in the derivatives space
  • At least a couple of years’ experiences working in a brokering or sales trading environment
  • Instrument knowledge or the understanding f futures and options will be an advantage
  • Experience in one of the following markets:
  • Ethanol
  • Gasoline
  • DDG
  • Corn
