THE POSITION
The successful candidate will be an ambitious broker or sales trader with a good market knowledge and strong network. Is willing to take part in the development of SCB activity in Futures and Options execution in the Grains commodities market.
Responsibilities to include:
- Working with clients, market participants and brokers and executing trades on behalf of clients via phone or computer
- Develop SCB business: meeting with clients, educating them on the new products, working closely with different commodity exchanges
- Monitoring and analysing market performance and trends and communicating it to customers to disclose relevant market information and offering trading opportunities
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate for this role will be creative and personable with strong communication skills allowing him/her to build strong business relationships with different types of market participants.
Additional skills and competencies which will be of great benefit for this position:
- Well-developed client portfolio in European and US grains market
- Ability to effectively communicate complex market information, trading themes and data in an accurate and professional manner
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite with a strong working knowledge of Excel
- Fluent in business English
- Fluency in any of the following languages will be an advantage: German, French, Russian or Spanish
- Motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workflow
- Team player, who works well within a group environment
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree qualified and will also consider candidates from Business Schools
- At least a couple of years’ experiences working in brokering or sales trading
- Experience and understanding of futures order execution
- 3+ years of experience in Agricultural commodities
- Experience in one or more of the following markets will be a strong advantage
- European grains market
- US grains market
- South African grains market
- South Asia grains market
