Business Development Lead Generator Internship

Wurkwel Ventures, LLC is a holding company consisting of a portfolio of businesses that focus on the needs of corporate tenants and their needs when expanding, relocating or downsizing their office space.  Wurkwel has founded in 2004 and consists of a variety of successful businesses that focus on office products, relocation services, visualization technology and advisory services regarding space utilization and project management. Awtry demonstrated forward thinking and adaptability, expanding Wurkwel from a furniture liquidator to one of Chicago’s premier providers of new, used and refurbished office furniture, while also providing specialized eco-friendly facility decommissioning. Wurkwel also handles the warehousing and distribution needs of Chicago businesses. This business grew out of Awtry’s experience with moving equipment rental services. 
 
Job Summary: BD Lead Generator Intern

We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated BD lead generatorintern to join our business development team. The Lead Generation Internship role will be responsible for making outbound calls and sending follow up e-mails to companies in transition with the goal of scheduling appointments for our workplace, furniture and facilities team members. This position requires making a high volume of outbound phone calls each day and performing follow-up calls, sending e-mails, LinkedIn InMail messages, etc. 
 
Responsibilities:  
  • Receiving lead data from Research Team focusing on outreach to companies in transition or with upcoming lease expiration dates in order to initiate outbound prospecting calls in an effort to setup qualified appointments for our sales team. 
  • Cultivate prospect relationships by conducting follow-up communications (i.e. e-mails, LinkedIn InMails, tracked HubSpot communications, etc.) to further lead generation opportunities with goal of setting appointments for our sales team.  
  • Obtain names, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and any other pertinent information as required for decision-makers involved in the project. 
  • Timely and accurate data input of leads, setting call-backs and appointment information into our NetSuite ERP system. 
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients within ensuring all communications are logged and that information is accurate.  
 
Requirements:  
  • Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • A positive "can-do" attitude with the ability to overcome obstacles and pursue desired results  
  • Comfortable utilizing technology, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP software  
  • Detail-oriented with an organized, systematic approach to achieving success.  
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Outbound business-to-business (B2B), previous call center or appointment setting experience is a plus
