Quality Control Laboratory Technician
GELITA USA, located in Sergeant Bluff, IA, is seeking qualified and interested persons to fill the positions of Quality Control Laboratory Technician. This position will report to the Supervisor, Quality Control Laboratory (Physical/Chemical) and Supervisor, Quality Control Laboratory (Microbiology) respectively as they perform their role/responsibilities. Responsibilities include performing various biological, chemical and physical tests on gelatin, sample preparation of gelatin, and the preparation of solutions to be used in testing. This would include tests like pH, viscosity, and chromatography as well as plating and streaking for microbial growth.
Successful candidates will have Bachelor of Science degree in biology and/or chemistry and/ or a comparable degree program. In addition, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, a team player, strong work ethic, well organized, good mathematical skills, able to lift to 50 pounds, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are required.
