- Creating beautiful new user experiences in React
- Analyzing and fixing production issues
- Consuming and collaborating on easy-to-use internal and partner-facing RESTful and GRPC endpoints
- Enhancing our development and delivery process through new tools
- Working with QA to enhance product quality through automation
- Finding new libraries & prototyping integrations to enhance the user experience
- Working on both greenfield development as well as new feature enhancements
- Helping your teammates succeed through peer reviews, documentation and mentoring
Candidate Profile
- Strong Computer Science foundation exhibiting potential for substantial technical growth
- Exceptional problem-solving skills that will be required to debug and provide solutions from HTML and CSS all the way down the stack to infrastructure level (ex: creating mechanisms for clearing and repopulating certain production server caches) if needed.
- Front-end development experience including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
- An understanding of REST and/or other protocol-based communication such as gRPC
- Strong foundation in data structures, design patterns and architecture principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of MySQL or another RDBMS including querying and more
- Knowledge of web security and session management
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics and network analytics tools
- Enthusiastic about code optimization automated testing, and writing unit tests
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, ample relevant work experience can be considered
Bonus Points
- Experience with video and audio content delivery
- Experience with web accessibility standards and ADA compliance
- Experience with web build tools and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
