Human Resources Business Partner

Our ideal candidate is an HR superstar with oodles of experience with HR procedures, benefits administration, is a confidentiality czar, and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner. In addition to handling employee relations and coaching leaders through difficult situations, administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR systems and documents, developing and implementing policies, administering all benefit plans and updating internal databases. 

Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversee Benefits and Compensation systems, implementations, carrier connections, and updates
  • Ensure accuracy of data in benefits and compensation systems as well as in vendor partner systems
  • Manage employee records with confidentiality, proactively auditing and updating the HRIS (Paylocity) with current information to ensure data integrity and cleanliness
  • Provide support to employees with all HR-related topics and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all W-2 employees (hourly and salaried) timely and accurately
  • Consistently review, update, and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency for payroll and HRIS processes
  • Ensures that once an offer is accepted the employee is hired into the HRIS and onboarding process is completed prior to the employees first day
  • Create and maintain the job catalog and the position evaluation process. Ensure proper classification of employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims 
  • Processes and administers all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. 
  • Manage benefits offerings to increase the company’s ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent and all associated processes and administration
  • Manages relationship with staffing agencies and assists with recruiting efforts

Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management or related field required
  • Successful completion of HR Certification required; in-process certification is acceptable
  • 5+ years of experience in coaching, employee relations, recruiting, compensation, or HR program development and implementation
  • Applied knowledge of federal, state and local laws and statues of employment
  • Thorough understanding and hands-on application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Experience working with various employee classifications including exempt and non-exempt; contract, remote and full-and part-time status
  • Experience in textile design/manufacturing industry is a plus
