Accounting/Finance Intern - Summer 2021 (Skokie, IL)

Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated Accounting or Finance focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Motorparts manufacturing facility located in Skokie, IL. This position will support the Motorparts division called DRiV within Tenneco.

Possible responsibilities include:
  • Data entry, filing, reporting to prepare for SAP implementation
  • Cost Accounting projects
  • Operations accounting projects
  • Supporting other accounting and or finance related projects as necessary

Required Skills
Required of an Intern:
Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Effective time management skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship period
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
