Privacy Analyst

The Privacy Analyst is a dynamic role who reports to the Chief Privacy Officer in supporting various processes and business units and who manages a fast-paced workload of projects as assigned. The Privacy Analyst will lead the management of the process and fulfillment of consumer requests through vendor tools, manage Privacy mailboxes and actively respond to consumer inquiries, RFPs, issue reporting, and internal stakeholder questions, and will be responsible for cross functional meeting preparation including creating agendas, presentation decks, and drafting meeting minutes.

In tandem with the Privacy staff, the Privacy Analyst will also support vendor and Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA reviews), be involved in privacy notice management, support data mapping efforts, and play a pivotal role in external client relationship management. This role is a key partner to the Chief Privacy Officer and requires the ability to manage multiple projects effectively, keep the Privacy staff apprised of deadlines, routinely communicate required deliverables to external and internal clients, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.

Essential Job Functions

Support privacy functions of the company including legal compliance efforts: 

  • Manage consumer requests through One Trust including maintaining and updating workflows, updates response templates, ensure timely completion or requests and oversight of subtask  owner fulfillment efforts and training on processes.
  • Participate and support in enterprise wide data mapping efforts and records management
  • Manage Privacy Office mailboxes and serve as central intake for inquiries and support needs
  • Identify areas for improved efficiency, automation and overall better consumer experience, vendor support and back office process.

  • Manage privacy notice updates process and self regulatory compliance
  • Manage cross functional meetings agenda, presentation decks, minutes and follow up
  • Maintain accurate and timely information, records, and documentation
  • Support project management efforts

  • Support as needed in vendor reviews and Privacy Impact Assessment reviews
  • Participate in training and awareness efforts
  • Serve as back up for other team members,  paralegals and assistants.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
B.A. degree, OR high school and/or GED degree with two years’ paralegal or other related training.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            
Experience:
Minimum two years’ paralegal or privacy experience
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of legal terminology, privacy and business law a plus; experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel required. Familiarity with One Trust desired.
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and be capable of exercising good judgment and making decisions; must possess excellent communication skills; must be organized; must have the ability to develop plans, prioritize work, perform under pressure, and work autonomously when appropriate.  Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality.

The role is available for a remote worker, but our preference is in the Des Moines, Iowa or New York, New York markets.
