Family Recruitment and Admin Intern

Under the direct supervision of the Turning Point Director, the Recruitment and Admin Intern will support the Turning Point Program by assisting with new family recruitment, alumni aftercare follow up, marketing and communication efforts with provider agencies, co-facilitate case management groups as needed, and other administrative tasks.

Applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Minimum: 3 months with 15 hours/week during school year; 30-40 hours/week during the summer. 

Assignments may include but not be limited to the following:
·  Communicate with provider agencies and applicants; track vacancies and referrals
·  Conduct quarterly phone follow-up surveys
·  Research community service providers and assist with outreach projects
·  Update participant contact list and mailing list as needed
·  Assist in the development of programs within Turning Point
·  Update and distribute monthly calendars
·  Research potential donors and track donation inventory; update donor database
·  Track and maintain monthly invoices and budget
·  Assist in maintaining client records and facilitating client groups

Minimum Qualifications:
·  Enthusiasm for The Salvation Army’s mission and the families we serve, and an open and friendly spirit.
·  Completed or working towards a college degree, preferably in a related field.
·  Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
·  Strong written and oral communication skills.
·  Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple detail-oriented projects.
·  Comfortable performing general clerical work including letter writing, filing, faxing, copying, answering phones, responding to emails, etc.
·  Ability to project a professional and positive image of The Salvation Army.
