Social Media Marketing Fellow

Job Objectives: 
The Social Media Marketing Fellow plays a critical role in maintaining and growing Equanimity Foundation’s (EQF) online presence. They will be responsible for supporting EQF in tasks related to social media content creation and analytics tracking. The Social Media Marketing Fellow will be responsible for creating content for multiple platforms, working with the Strategic Communications team to develop social media strategies, and tracking social media analytics to optimize social media strategy. The Social Media Marketing Fellow will also assist in revamping the style guide and maintaining the social media content calendar.

Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities: 
  • Work alongside the Strategic Communications team to help create and execute social media strategies
  • Assist in the growth of the EQF brand through existing social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Develop strategies for expansion on new social media platforms for EQF (TikTok, YouTube, Clubhouse)
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar
  • Deliver monthly feedback on content performance across all platforms
  • Collaborate as needed with other teams to ensure social media strategy fits into broader marketing strategy and goals
  • Work with the Strategic Communications team to revamp the style guide and copy guide
  • Take meetings minutes

Skills Required  
  • Majoring or a recent graduate in business, marketing, journalism, advertising, public relations, or a communications-related field
  • Some social media management experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with content creation and project management programs such as Asana, Canva, Slack, etc.
  • Understanding of social media analytics and social media strategy
  • Familiarity with current trends in social media
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in another language is highly desirable but not required

  • Accurately prepares written materials that are coherent, grammatically correct, effective, and professional

Please note that is an unpaid fellowship. However, Equanimity Foundation can work with universities to make this fellowship eligible to earn course credit. Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position. This position will begin on June 7, 2021 and last until August 20, 2021.
