Safety Intern - Remote

TRC serves a broad range of clients in industry and government, implementing complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.

TRC is seeking a highly motivated safety intern for our summer 2021 intern program. This is a paid, full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June 2021 thru August 2021 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with other team members as well.

Responsibilities:
  • Support various project safety related work on site specific projects as well as internal projects. This person will help support TRC’s Corporate EHS team with initiatives which include planning, site assessment, data management, sustainability and field work
  • Identify possible safety improvements and recommending solutions
  • Offer information, advice, and recommendations to the Corporate EHS team
  • Previous experience in construction safety is a plus
  • Ideal candidate will have a safety management educational background or work experience in the safety field
  • Previous OSHA Safety training and Certified Safety Professionals highly preferred.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Candidates must either be pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field or should have completed an Associate’s degree and have 2 or more years of Professional Safety experience
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, detail orientated person
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to contribute ideas and offer opinions
  • Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow
