IT Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- PC/Printer help desk support to all end users.
- Troubleshoot PC and laptop software and hardware problems and maintain all company PC’s in good working order and up to all company standards.
- Preventative maintenance, checking and cleaning workstations, printers, and peripherals, as directed by the Sys Admin.
- Set up computers, install and configure software/hardware/peripherals.
- Provide basic instruction to employees on system software and hardware.
- Assist IT Systems Admin in other projects.
- Other functions as assigned.
- Prior to the conclusion of the internship, provide a presentation to Biomerics IT of learning and an assessment and recommendation of improvements for consideration to improve infrastructure, simplification for users and network security.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Working towards/Plan to a 4-year degree in IT.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Experience with Windows PCs, Office 365, AD, TCP/IP.
- Proven ability and skill set in preventative maintenance, checking and cleaning workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Ability to conduct research into a wide range of PC software and hardware related issues.
- Ability to absorb and learn quickly.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Ability to interact with lower skilled end users.
