Surety Underwriting Internship Summer 2021 | Nationwide

Department/Team Info: The surety underwriting team is a line within MLS. The VP of the team is Tony Alabanese. Business is divided into four groups Contract, Commercial, National Bond Center (smaller bonds), and Reverse Flow. The internship will primarily support the Contract and Commercial units

Internship Roles/Responsibilities: The interns will be expected to go through our surety training program. They will learn how to write account summaries about companies using research skills and financial statement analysis. They will also be expected to support entry of data into our account management systems and ad-hoc reports requested by leadership.

Skills/Qualifications Desired: 2+ years of completed undergraduate. Financial Statement Analysis skills, comfort with working with others. Marketing is a part of the underwriter's long term role, so will be highly valued, but is not part of an intern's responsibilities over the summer.
