Information Security Specialist, Print

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Print Security Specialist supports Marco’s growing information security and governance practice. This role supports internal process improvements and acts as a client serving operator of information security consulting services. In addition, the Print Security Specialist assists in evaluating new security technologies, understands their use cases, and justifies the value of the technologies to the business. This position will keep up-to-date with the latest technology breach techniques, viruses, malware, and changes in regulatory standards that impact information security.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Work with the Sales Organization to identify customer business objectives, build proof of concepts, conduct solution demonstrations, and support ongoing technical discussions with end users during the sales process.
  2. Assist the sales team during meetings with prospects and existing customers. Collaborate on customer issues, pricing models and architecture of the solution. Respond to proposals by providing the technical expertise and architecture of the proposed solution.
  3. Work closely with sales management, professional services teams, and other internal partners to solve unique customer requirements to help achieve the overall sales plan objectives.
  4. Provide post sales technical support to customers.
  5. Maintain and contribute best practices within the organization, including, but not limited to our technology practice groups, knowledge base or documentation library, and assigned committees. Continuously update the company’s incident response and disaster recovery plans.
  6. Ensure implemented solutions are meeting expectations and assist with product maintenance and lifecycle management. Own the technical relationship with assigned teams where engaged.
  7. Manage competing priorities and set expectations with stakeholders through proactive communication, planning, and potential return on investment.
  8. Understand and maintain proficiency with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) including updates, organizational impacts, and practical use.
  9. Accurately maintain and comply with documentation, communication, time entry, and administrative procedures in a timely manner.
  10. Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
  11. Attend required company and departmental meetings.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree in management information systems, information systems, computer or electrical engineering, computer science, cyber or information security; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in information security or information technology management gained through work, internship, or projects
  • Knowledge of service management concepts for IT and/or Security operations and related standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in consulting, regulatory compliance, security operations, or similar field
  • Experience with regulatory standards (HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST CSF, ISO, COBIT5, etc.)
  • Intermediate technical certifications (CISA, CompTIA CySA+, etc.),
  • Demonstrable work towards advanced qualifications (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA CASP+, etc.)
  • Sales oriented organizational experience

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Valid Driver’s License, proof of personal insurance and an acceptable driving record.
  • Acceptable certified employment background check including criminal and financial history.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS
  1. Familiarity with service management concepts for IT and/or Security operations and related standards.
  2. Deep understanding of security concepts and technologies.
  3. Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as Office applications.
  4. Demonstrates attention to detail.
  5. Effective organizational and time/task management skills.
  6. Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no direct supervision.
  7. Excellent communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Standard Marco work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Hours may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
 
TRAVEL
Occasional travel is required via automobile and airplane, occasionally requires overnight stays and includes travel to different Marco, client, vendor and event locations.
