Financial Management Analyst-Camp Pendleton

The Financial Management Career Program (FMCP) recruits entry level prestigious individuals for civil service positions. The FMCP offers college graduates that have graduated within the last 2 years the opportunity to be hired as a federal employee, as well as, the opportunity to gain professional experience and growth through on the job training and diverse work assignments. FMCP selected Candidates are trained to become the Department of the Navy (DON) financial management (FM) professionals, and eventually leaders at various Navy and Marine Corps Commands located throughout the United States.

Position Overview:
The Financial Management Career Program (FMCP) is a 24-month entry level training program for recent graduates within the Accounting, Business, and Finance professional communities. To qualify for this program, you must have earned at a minimum bachelor’s degree within the Accounting, Finance or Business-related field within the past two years.
Recent college graduates are hired by the FMCP as Department of the Navy entry-level (GS-9/11/12) Financial Management Analysts (job series 0501). Trainees are officially assigned to the FMCP, but work at various Navy and Marine Corps activities, referred to as “Homeports.”
TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
  • HAVE A U.S. CITIZENSHIP
  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN A SECRET CLEARANCE AND A MOBILITY AGREEMENT FOR REQUIRED TRAVEL
  • POSSESS FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, MANAGEMENT, OR ACTUARIAL SCIENCE DEGREE OR OTHER RELATED DEGREE FROM AN ACCREDITED UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE WITHIN THE PAST TWO YEARS
  • GPA OF 2.95 (OR BETTER) OVERALL
