INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: EthnoArts Worker

LI Title: INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: EthnoArts Worker

The power of art is undeniable. But when was the last time you used that creativity to impact eternity?

As a supported* EthnoArts Worker, you will work with musicians, actors, dancers, storytellers and artists to spread the truth communicated through Bible translation.

Today, over 2000 people groups, 170 million people, still don’t have the Bible translated into their languages! Wycliffe USA believes the Word of God can transform lives when people hear it in their own language or form, and we urgently need you to join the team!

Job Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand

Want to work in a different location? Wycliffe USA has many open positions located in Africa, Asia, Europe, Americas, and the Pacific! Even though this job is located overseas, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States as per U.S. employment laws.
Every day is different! One day you might meet with local artisans to learn about a community’s art traditions. Later you could spend time learning the local language. Another day you might work with the team and community to plan language development programs that utilize the arts.

This job might be for you if…
  • You demonstrate the desire and ability to support corporate Biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work-related spiritual activities without reservation (Spiritual Bona Fide Occupational Qualification)
  • You have experience in performance or study in music, dance, drama, storytelling, poetry, visual, or other art (proficiency in at least one domain).
  • You have excellent communications skills and enjoy working with a team.
  • You have completed high school and have at least some biblical training.
  • You are eager to learn and practice local art methods.
  • You are willing to learn to communicate effectively in the language of wider communication.
