Geophysicist

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires manual labor in lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Degree Requirement: A degree that includes at least 30 semester hours in mathematics (including

calculus) and the physical sciences (geophysics, physics, engineering, geology, astronomy, meteorology,

electronics, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS UPON SELECTION:

Pre-employment physical evaluation required.

Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequent bending over, and repetitive motion such as swinging a

hammer, planting geophones, and/or electrodes.

Possession of or ability to: obtain a secret security clearance.

A valid driver’s license is required.

JOB INFORMATION:

Assists higher graded professional in accomplishing both field and office work assignments, i.e.,

geophysical, or geological investigations on military munitions, environmental, civil works, and military

construction projects. Observes and performs the application of geophysical and geological techniques

and procedures to address data needs on military munitions and geotechnical projects.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Position is a Permanent direct hire for Omaha, Nebraska.

Salary starts at: $43,826 per year, includes paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and overtime.
