Transport Aide
The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Radiology is seeking to hire student employees to work as a Transport Aide.
Schedules: Mon-Fri 1500 - 2100 and Sat/Sun 0800-1730
Job Duties:
· Provide assistance of patients transferring to and from wheelchairs and transport carts.
· Assist nursing and rehabilitation personnel with transfers to and from vehicle.
· Transport patients to and from designated areas for scheduled appointments.
· Operate elevators, as needed.
· Inform nursing and rehabilitation staff of any incidents/problems.
· Maintain positive, professional interaction with residents and staff.
· Attend in-service training sessions, as required.
· Adheres to UIHC policies and procedures.
· Demonstrate respect and compassion in every interaction.
· Conduct oneself with the highest degree of honesty and integrity in every interaction.
· Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interactions with co-workers, patients, families and visitors.
