QUALIFICATIONS

 
Required:
·      Valid Illinois Professional Educator License Grades (5-8)
·      Middle School Social Studies endorsements
 
Preferences:
 
·      The ideal candidate will be a teaching candidate that wants to make a significant difference in the life of middle school students
·      The ideal candidate will demonstrate a collaborative teaching spirit
·      Understanding of Professional Learning Communities or willingness to learn about this process
·      Knowledge of current strategies and research in developmentally appropriate practices for 5th/6th and 7th grade students
·      Utilizes the four dimensions of the C3 Framework

  • Communicating Conclusions and Taking Informed Action

·      Previous experience in working with middle school students
·      The ability to speak a second language
·      Experience in middle school educational programs is preferred
·      ELL/ELS endorsement is preferred

·      BA 1 salary starting at $47,767.16 plus board paid Teachers’ Retirement System contributions
