Job Summary/Description:

KGWN NewsChannel 5 is seeking an experienced Weather Anchor/MMJ to join our award-winning news team at our studios in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The right person will produce and anchor our evening weather forecasts. Must be organized, self-starter who comes up with his/her own content for daily coverage. This position is for a person with a lot of energy and love of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

- Provide comprehensive weather coverage during severe weather events
- Produce content for the station's web page and social media outlets
- AMS and/or NWA Certified preferred
- Familiar with WSI services

Requirements:
- Possess strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Computer literate and technically oriented
- Self-motivated, and a fast learner
- A degree in meteorology, climatology or atmospheric science is preferred
- Must have skills in the operation of computerized weather presentation systems, especially WSI
- Candidates must be professional, personable and confident
- Degree in broadcast journalism
- Anchor experience (college experience accepted)
