Non-Tenure-Track, Lecturer; Mass Communications

The Department of Communications at the University of North Alabama invites applications for a Mass Communication faculty position at the rank of Lecturer. Candidates should be able to teach courses in the Mass Communication core, such as Communication in a Global Age, Communication Research Methods, and Communication Theory. Additionally, the successful candidate should have the ability to teach courses in the Public Relations, Communication Studies, or Journalism & Digital Media Production academic sequences.

The successful candidate must have a Master’s Degree in the field of Mass Communication or a closely related field. The successful candidate will teach five undergraduate classes per semester and will be expected to mentor students, advise upper-class majors, and provide service to the university community. An ability and willingness to teach online is required. The Department’s Mass Communication program is accredited through the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications.
