What Is Your Job? This is HUGE opportunity to help a women’s mentorship tech start up build their growth strategy. The Business Development Intern will build GrasshoppHer’s market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and solidifying business relationships.
Is This Paid? This is an unpaid internship, but the benefits are unparalleled. You will gain hands on experience at a women’s tech start up and be exposed to top women mentors. If you are ready to disrupt the trend of attrition, which leaves only 21% of women in the leadership pipeline, this is the internship for you.
Students should consult with academic faculty to determine if this unpaid experience will earn credit.
Who Are You Reporting To? Founder & CEO for 6 hrs per week (timing flexible)
What Are Your Key Duties? GrasshoppHer wants you to help us grow so that we can better serve our community of women leaders, mentors and mentees.
You will:
a) Help us grow our user base
a. Identify users
b. Build connectivity strategies
b) Aid us in generating revenue
a. Research business opportunities and viable income streams
b. Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
c) Manage and retain relationships with existing clients and stakeholders
Who are we looking for?
GrasshoppHer is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
a) Current student or alumni of a business undergraduate or MBA program
b) Marketing and business development experience
c) High-level communication skills
d) Stakeholder management skills
e) Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
f) The ability to self-motivate and motivate a team
g) Experience working to and exceeding targets
