Elementary Teacher
La Salle Catholic Elementary School is searching for an elementary teacher for the 2021-2022 school year to teach a grades 3/4 multi-age classroom. The position is full time but an option for part-time could be considered.
Interested candidates should be Iowa-certified (or will obtain teacher certification prior to August), should have a deep passion for teaching young learners, and should be a model of character and citizenship for our students. While it is not a requirement, it is desirable for candidates to hold a teaching endorsement in Reading and/or English Language Arts. The ideal candidate for this position should be able to:
- Create a class environment where Catholic values and teachings are the priority.
- Provide students with academic foundational skills through the Iowa Core Curriculum of Language Arts and Reading, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science and additionally, work with students on activities that promote social/emotional growth.
- Be flexible and willing to help out as they work as part of a team.
- Establish good relationships with students, parents and other staff members.
La Salle Catholic School is a small, non-public school serving the La Salle Pastorate including the towns of Luxemburg, Holy Cross, Balltown, Rickardsville, and Sherrill. Our school includes preschool through grade 6. We are located in Holy Cross.
