Materials Scientist
FemtoDx is seeking a semiconductor process engineer to work in our Beverly Hills laboratories. The engineer will be responsible for performing process engineering research, development and evaluation of in support of the company’s wafer-level and chip-scale semiconductor device platform. This position reports to a Project Leader or Director of Device Engineering or Director of Process Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review process techniques and methods applied in manufacturing, fabrication and evaluation of wafer-level devices, getting involved at any stage from pilot plant to full-scale foundry manufacturing.
- Review, evaluate, and improve process flow following industry standard methods.
- Support device engineering team in planning and executing test and characterization of devices on chip scale and wafer scale, and conducting necessary data acquisition and analysis.
- Present data to managers, executives, and manufacturing fab partner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS + 7 years, MS + 3 years, or Ph.D. in materials science or related discipline.
- Extensive experience in working with standard deposition, etching, lithography, and other related processes.
- Knowledge of thin films, semiconductor physics and devices.
- Automation and programming skills (e.g. LabView, MatLab).
- Data presentation skills.
- Experience working with start-up companies is a plus.
