Summary: This position includes manual generation of bills of materials (BOM) for custom orders based on blueprint drawings and collaboration with CAD designers, engineers, and project managers. This position also requires knowledge of field applications, and familiarity with company product.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
 
  • Understands and interprets design drawings to generate lists of components needed for the construction of buildings and associated equipment.
  • Frequently communicate with several departments to analyze custom properties of work orders and generate bills of materials accordingly.
  • Pays great amount of attention to detail and practices good organizational skills.
  • Maintains interdepartmental communications daily.

Education and/or Experience:                                           
 
Degree from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
 
Language Skills:                                           
 
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals and maintain documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
 
Mathematical Skills:                                                
 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
 
Reasoning Ability:                                                   
 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
Computer Skills:                                                      
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software including Microsoft Word and Excel as well as the ability to learn our ERP system.
 
Other Skills and Abilities:                                                  
 
Uses sound judgment backed up by good mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
