The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Planning/Community Assistance, has a full time vacancy for a Program Funding Coordinator (Program Assistant II).

SUMMARY: Supervises, monitors, maintains, compiles and communicates bureau administrated services and programs, responsible for reporting and scheduling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains accurate financial records of State and Federal Aid Programs administered by Bureau of Transportation Planning.
  • Reviews, clarifies and explains Department services and program regulations and policies through contact with Federal, State and Municipal officials, other specialists within the agency and the public.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of computer software using spreadsheets, databases and ability to manipulate data between personnel computers and mainframe computers.
  • Coordinates the transfer of technical data from engineering section to Federal, State and Municipal officials in the form of financial and engineering reports for individual projects.
  • Prepares program status reports for distribution to Federal, State and Municipal agencies or officials.
  • Monitors and tracks project activities to insure adherence to and compliance with program Policies and Procedures.
  • Researches, compiles and summarizes financial data and prepares reports and documents used in administrative decision-making.
  • May supervise one or more clerical employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate's degree from a recognized college or technical institute with major study in a Business Management, Administration, Accounting, or related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Three years of experience in Business Management, Administration, Accounting, or related field. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  Must possess a valid driver's license.
