FP&A Senior Analyst

RES
RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 328 stream miles, 58,024 wetland acres, and rehabilitated, preserved, and/or managed over 15,000 acres of special-status species habitats. RES operations include planting over 17,400,000 restorative trees and reducing over 267 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.
 
The mission of the FP&A team is to help RES management make informed and data-driven decisions about the company’s short and long-term direction and to facilitate integrated budgeting, planning, analysis, and process management. This role will work closely as a financial partner with regional management, act as liaison between regional Project Managers, Accounting, and Corporate FP&A, and will be responsible for supporting all corporate financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes for the organization
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, and create data-driven recommendations
  • Consolidate and analyze the regional financial results and forecasts for Revenues, Overhead, Headcount, Capital Expenditures, Working Capital and Cash Flow based on bottoms-up and top-down planning
  • Assemble profitability and financial risk analyses with both a near-term and long-term focus
  • Provide Monthly and Quarterly business metrics and financial reporting packages to support the regional and Corporate leadership teams
  • Engage with cross-functional leaders as part of the regional leadership team including Sales, Operations, Land, Regulatory, Business Development, and Finance
  • Create “trade-off/what if” scenario models to provide value-added management decision support
  • Participate in financial systems team meetings and activities, as needed
  • Support FP&A and overall Accounting & Finance team on all change initiatives and special projects related to systems and processes to improve efficiency

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • BS/BA
  • 3 or more years of accounting/finance experience
  • Superior Excel, Powerpoint skills required
Desired:
  • Bachelor degree in a quantitative field (Accounting or Finance degree preferred)
  • 3-5 years work experience in an accounting/financial analysis environment preferably with a large corporation or Big 4 accounting firm/financial advisory/consulting firm
