First Resources Corp. of Pella is growing and we are searching for dedicated and energetic Full-time & Part-time Direct Support Professionals. The ideal candidate would be responsible for daily services for people will work with an individual with an intellectual disability and/or chronic mental illness. The individuals we work with require 24-hour support, either in their home or out in their community.

As a Direct Support Professional is there to provide support, assistance, and instruction in learning independent living skills like:

  • Money management
  • Socialization
  • Cooking
  • Personal hygiene
  • Goal Setting and achieving
  • Communication and self-expression needs
  • Coping skills

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance.
  • Satisfactory results on background check pertaining to criminal and abuse registries.
