Two postdoctoral positions are available in Crop Improvement and Genetics Research Unit at the USDA Agricultural Research Service location in Albany, CA. The selected participants will be involved in research projects to improve wheat agronomic traits and grain quality using genetics, molecular biology, genomics, and genome editing approaches. The positions require a completed PhD in plant biology or a related subject and the ability to work in a team environment as well as strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of transcriptome and next-generation-sequence data analysis, population development, marker development, gene/QTL discovery via linkage and association mapping, marker-assisted selection, and plant technology are desirable.  A strong background knowledge in statistics is a plus.
