Logistics Route Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION


Summary/Objective:
As a Logistics Analyst, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the timeliness of our freight by meeting all tracking & tracing requirements, covering loads, assigning carriers, dispatching drivers and managing the operational component of our contractual business.  

Typical day in the life of a Logistics Analyst
●       Plan to be on the phone/computer tracking, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery, dispatching drivers, etc.
●       Coordinate, manage and monitor dedicated freight opportunities.
●       Covering available loads by procuring trucks via existing carrier network, 3rd party load boards and carrier databases.
●       Ensure receipt of all proper billing paperwork ( BOL, POD’s, invoices)
●       Work in tandem with our logistics manager and BD Managers to ensure all shipments for enterprise accounts are promptly and accurately covered, dispatched and tracked.

●       Ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
●       Anticipate and proactively resolve potential customer service issues resolving with a sense of urgency.
●       Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results

Not required but would be nice:
●       1+ year experience in transportation/logistics or degree in Supply Chain Management
●       Basic knowledge of transportation and truckload freight
●       Basic knowledge of Excel, exposure to load boards and other industry TMS’s
●       Bilingual 

Scheduling:

Available and willing to work any of the shifts below:
  • Morning, Mid-day, Evening.
  • Weekends
