Agronomy Administrative Assistant

Position Summary:
Provide administrative support to the Agronomy and Energy Divisions of the Deerfield, WI location. Support the location by assisting with processing customer orders, inventory management, billing, and all other day-to-day tasks of the office. 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to walk-in traffic and via phone.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, copying, and filing.
  • Take fertilizer, seed & chemical orders.
  • Complete seed ordering, tracking, scheduling, and returning.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining data in FieldAlytic.
  • Assist Agronomists with Soil Sample data management/point and bags with pullers.
  • Assist managing and moving data from FieldAlytic to Agvantage EDGE programs.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence.
  • Perform data entry, customer invoicing, and inventory receiving.
  • Manage calendar for location employees.
  • Assist in resolving any administrative issues.
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.
  • Maintain office supplies for department.
  • Assist with inventory management.
  • Assist with loading feed, seed or chemical for customers when needed.
  • Deliver liquid wagons or seed when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proven administrative skills.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime hours during the busy season.
  • Previous experience with Agvantage and Edge agronomy systems and a background in agriculture is helpful (not required).
