Staff Accountant

LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing professional services firm headquartered in a brand new, beautiful office located in the Loop of Chicago to identify a new Staff Accountant to join their team. This person will work directly with the CFO and Controller to manage the accounts payable process, assist the CFO and Controller directly with month end close, support on strategic firm projects, and handle any ad hoc accounting projects as assigned from the Partners.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage firmwide accounts payable process, including paying, entering, and resolving discrepancies of invoices in a timely manner
- Work alongside CFO and Controller on process improvement and strategic projects relevant to the month-end close
- Support Executive level reporting as it relates to the company payables and expense reporting
- Learn and be familiar with knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Maintain strict confidentiality, as this individual support high-level Accounting projects for the firm
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 0 - 2 years of experience
- Relevant accounting internship experience preferred
- Strong Excel knowledge, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables, required
- Attention to detail, communication skills, and presentation skills
