Playbook creates and manages sports and academic programs. Some of our programs include playbookkids.com, nycbbl.com, and nycbasketballkids.com. About the Position
The Business Development position at Playbook would be responsible for helping our grow businesses by discovering new business opportunities, researching leads within the Tri-state area, and establishing relationships with potential clients/partners. The ideal candidate for the Business Development position is an ambitious, detailed oriented, goal-oriented candidate who is able to stay cutting edge on the latest industry developments. This is an in-person/hybrid role.

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts. 
  • Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement.
  • Outreach to local businesses within the Tri-state area.
  • Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects.
  • Escalating leads for business opportunities for reaching enterprise clients
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Relentless work ethic with an entrepreneurial mindset
